These rock fans had a bit of a wait on their hands back in May 1977.

The long queue snaked up Renfield Street, along Renfrew Street and down West Nile Street as eager concert-goers geared up to get in to the legendary Apollo Theatre.

They were all clutching tickets to see the US super group The Eagles.

The smell of burgers and fried onions filled the air on the corner as they waited for the doors to open.

Of course, King Burger is now long gone, as is the Apollo, to be replaced by the massive Cineworld complex; the tallest cinema in the world.
